The Tha Kha Floating Market is a traditional market in Bangkok. It is different from normal market. In this market the sellers and buyers are on boat. The sellers were mainly elderly Thai women. Their small boats were laden with bundles of lotus flowers, farm-fresh coconuts, fruits, vegetables, local food and delicious sweets. The sellers displayed their goods for sale and the buyers chose their pick. They could have a little       chit-chat as buying and selling was going on. Originally, the Tha Kha floating market used to sit only six or seven days a month depending on the phase of the moon. Now a day, the trade takes place on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays too. The main buyers here are the Tha Kha natives. Only a few tourists go there. People seem to know each other very well. They call each other by name.

The place where books, magazines and reading materials are kept is called library. Our college has a spacious library with good facilities. We know that a library is a storehouse of knowledge. A library satisfies our eternal desire for knowledge of the unknown and unseen. A library plays an important role in the realm of knowledge. A library is a part and parcel of a college. No college is complete without a library. Our college library is housed in a separate two story building. The library has a good collection. Almost all kinds of books like novels, poems, literature, story-books, science fiction, books of general knowledge are found in the library. There are many almirahs. The books are arranged in different shelves according to subject. The librarian has some assistant. There is a large reading room. The reading room is well furnished. When we take the help of a catalogue, the assistants at once find the book and help us. We are issued library cards. We can borrow books from the library. We have to return the borrowed books after two weeks. In the reading room we can read as many books as we like. Silence is a must here. Nobody is allowed to make noise. I am proud of my college library.

Certainly smoking is a very bad habit. The dangers of smoking know no bounds. It harms people in two ways, direct and indirect. In the case of directness, one has to clasp a lot of incurable diseases like bronchitis, lung cancer etc. Most of the departed persons caused by cancer were related to smoking. It indirectly harms a non-smoker in the sense that inhaling smoke makes others to take polluted air without filtration and it usually causes the same diseases as referred above. So to speak truly, one of my family members is habituated to this kind of smoking heavily. Recently, smoking in public places has been banned for the overall betterment of our society as well as country.

Education is the fullest development of body, mind and soul together. Education broadens our mind. It widens our outlook. It refines our sense and sensibility. It helps us to differentiate between right and wrong. It makes us aware of our rights and responsibilities. Everyone wants to take education. It is the birthright of every man and woman. But in some cases women are deprived of the light of education. We can never go ahead if half of our people remain uneducated. Total development of our country depends on both male and female education. An educated mother gives an educated nation. An educated mother can educate her child well. She can bring up her child well. She can take care of her child very strategically and scientifically. We can strengthen our economic frame if half of our population is involved in income-generating activities. Our women should be encouraged to take education. No guardians should disallow their daughters to take education. Even if women are married, their husbands should allow them to take education. It is a matter of great pleasure that the present government is giving different incentives in the field of female education. Without education, no woman can be aware of their rights and privileges. They cannot establish their basic rights if they remain uneducated. Superstitious beliefs can be remove if women are educated. They can save them from different health hazards if they are educated. So, the importance of female education cannot be denied in the true sense of the term.

In any society man preserves some rights commonly and these are called basic human rights. Basic human rights mainly evolve social rights, civil rights, cultural rights, economic rights, religious rights, political rights and so on. Basic human rights of man should be considered individually, socially, nationally and internationally. In our country a man is empowered to enjoy some rights through our constitution. Certain articles of the constitution give his right about food, cloth, shelter, medical treatment, education, employment, freedom of speech and so on. Right to demand no interference in private life, family life or exchange of letters, right to move about freely, right to vote, right to have own property, right to recreation and entertainment and so on human rights are prevalent in society. To protect children is one of the greatest human rights. The elderly have some rights which are lucrative in their old age. It is a matter of pathos that the condition of human rights is very miserable across the globe. on the look out, the developing countries seem to be more prone to the violation of human rights. But actually, the developed countries are the booster of the breaking of human rights. To observe the human right situation an international organization named Amnesty International is ever alert. But our pain has doubled hearing and knowing that such an organization itself is corrupted. To protect man's society well, human rights must be protected first.

Mobile phone refers to a telephone that does not have wires. One can carry it with oneself and use it anywhere. It is a recent scientific invention. It has created coruscation all over the world. It is of great use to us. Besides communication with the people in distant places, one can send message, know time, do calculation, play games, take snaps, be familiar with global culture by browsing internet with the help of mobile phone. So its popularity is increasing day by day. One can communicate with one's near and dear persons in distant place in the twinkling of an eye by using mobile phone. It saves one's valuable time, energy and money as well. With its golden touch, the countries of the world are like families in a village. But the mobile phone is not an unmixed blessing to the human society. It has still some drawbacks in disguise. being addicted to several vulgar websites through mobile phone, the young generation may go to the dogs losing their morality. Besides, scientists have recently discovered that mobile phone can cause cancer to the users. Moreover, terrorists use it at random and commit terrorist activities at large. Nevertheless, the importance of mobile phone in quick communication is very great.

A winter morning means a cold and foggy morning in winter. There is dense fog everywhere. Nature looks dull in a winter morning. Everything looks hazy. The leaves of trees are covered with fog and they are not seen from a distance. Dew drops on earth from the leaves of trees. The animals cry and old people shiver in cold. They do not want to go out. The sun usually rises late in a winter morning. They get up from bed late. The farmers go to their fields late. The old people and the children gather straws, make fire and sit around it to warm themselves. When the sun rises, they bask in the sun. It is the time of date juice. So, people eat delicious sweet cakes in a winter morning. The rich enjoy the winter morning while the poor suffer for it. However, a winter morning is enjoyable in many respects.

Load-shedding means the suspension of electricity for the time being. The causes of load-shedding are many. The rapid growth of urbanization is the main cause of load-shedding. With the increase of population the number of homes and buildings has increased. More mills and factories have been set up in the country. But supply of power has not increased. As a result load shedding occurs frequently. Illegal connection of electricity is also responsible for this. Load-shedding affects our economy seriously. It hampers the production in mills and factories. The farmers cannot irrigate their lands. The electric goods are damaged due to frequent power failure. The students, patients in the hospital and business men are the worst suffers of load-shedding. We should be economical in the use of electricity. The government should establish more power stations to minimize load shedding.

Subject : Remission of delay fine.
Sir,
With due respect I beg to inform you  that my father went to India for treatment three month before. For that reason I could not pay my tuition fees for the month of  February, March and April. So my name has been stuck off from roll for non-payment of dues. I am now in a position to clear of all the dues because my father has come back from India and joined his office. It may also be mentioned that I have been doing well in all the examination and my teachers have always been satisfied with my progress in studies.
I, therefore, pray and hope that you would kindly remit the delay fines and receive the usual fees only.

The person who does the work of farming is known as a farmer. In Bangladesh the life of a farmer is not so good. He inherits a little land. He is illiterate. He does not know how to plough his land scientifically. He can not apply scientific method. He has only a pair of bullocks and some hand made tools. Often he has not enough money to buy seeds, fertilizer or pesticide. As a result he can not produce more food for himself and his family. He can not make proper use of his land. He gets up early in the morning and goes to his land than ploughs it, sows the seeds and weeds out. He comes home at noon, eats his meal, takes rest and again goes to his land. He is born poor. Sometimes he takes a loan from the money lenders. If he cannot repay the loan, he sells the piece of land. A farmer is left ;on the mercy of nature. He has pleasures and pains in life. If he gets a good harvest, his face beams with joy. On the other hand if the crops are not good, his sorrows know no bounds. He and his family starve. He leads a very poor life. Though he works hard, he can not lead a decent life. He can not raise his head from the fear of wants. His life is meant for struggle of existence.

The man who pulls a rickshaw for money is a rickshaw puller. A rickshaw puller is quite familiar in cities and towns. He lives in a slum. His dress is very shabby. His income is very poor. He supports his family through much hardship. He has no rickshaw of his own. He toils hard. In all weathers good and bad he is seen carrying passengers. He bargains with his passengers. He demands more when the weather id very hot or foul. Sometimes he tries to cheat passengers. But most often he is cheated by passengers. A rickshaw puller is seen sleeping in his rickshaw beneath a tree or sitting idly in his rickshaw. Though he drives a rickshaw from morning till late night, he leads a very miserable life. His life is full of sorrows and sufferings. He can not enjoy peace and happiness. If he becomes sick, he can not drive his rickshaw and earn money. So he and his family starve. If he can earn more than his expectation, his face smiles. But this opportunity is very rare in his life.
